Transneft plans increasing of Yug system’s annual capacity to 9 mln t of diesel fuel from 2018
Transneft OJSC plans increasing annual capacity of the pipeline system from Volgograd refinery to port Novorossiysk (Yug system) to 9 mln t of diesel fuel starting from 2018, IAA PortNews journalist cites Transneft's deputy vice president Vladimir Nazarov.
According to him, the first phase of the project implies the conversion of Tikhoretsk-Novorossiysk oil pipeline into oil product pipeline (6 mln t from 2016). The second phase implies the construction of Volgograd-Tikhoretsk oil product pipeline to raise the capacity of the pipeline system to 9 mln t of diesel fuel per year.
The volume of investments into the project has not been revealed.
Transneft is Russian oil transporting state monopoly (78% of shares are controlled by the state) and the largest pipeline company in the world holding about 50,000 km of trunk pipelines. In 2013, net profit of Transneft calculated under Russian Accounting Standards climbed by 5.7% to RUB 11.26 bln.
