The Professor Khlyustin, practical training ship of Maritime State University named after admiral G.I.Nevelskoi, has set off for a research voyage to study the impact of the Fukushima nuclear disaster on the Pacific Ocean waters, press center of Primorsk Territory Administration says.
Representatives of Russian Geographical Society and the cadets of the University will research the north-west part of the Pacific Ocean to check its radiation level. Sailing practice aboard this vessel can be arranged for 100 cadets guided by teachers and instructors.
