Gazprom and Shell have taken a joint decision on expansion of an LNG plant under Sakhalin II project (Russia, Sakhalin region), IAA PortNews journalist cites Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, as saying today at the 4th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF).
According to him, the project on construction of the plant’s third phase is to be ready by Quarter III’ 2015.
The LNG plant and the marine terminal were built near Korsakov (Sakhalin) in 2008. Together they constitute a production complex Prigorodnoye. The plant’s annual capacity is 9.6 mln t of LNG.
