Throughput of Universal Reloading Complex (Ust-Luga) up 13% to 2.9 mln t in Jan-Sep’14

In January-September 2014, Universal Reloading Complex LLC (Ust-Luga) handled 2.9 mln t of cargo (+13%, year-on-year), URC press center says.

The company says the growth was driven by high demand of European consumers for coal handled by URC.

Average daily unloading climbed by 14%, year-on-year, to 154 open-top wagons, maximum unloading - open-top wagons per day. All in all, 42,038 open-top wagons were unloaded at the berths of the terminal and handled 77 vessels.

Universal Reloading Complex LLC (part of UCL Port, stevedoring division of international transport group UCL Holding) is a cargo terminal at the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region. It specializes in acceptance, storage and shipment of exported and imported dry bulk cargo. In 2013, Universal Reloading Complex LLC handled 3.5 mln t of cargo.
