Star Bulk Carriers Corp., a global shipping company focu sing on the transportation of dry bulk cargoes, announced that the Company’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders was duly held in New York on Friday, October 24, 2014, pursuant to a Notice of Annual Meeting of Shareholders dated September 15, 2014, the company said in its press release.
At the meeting, each of the following proposals, which are set forth in more detail in the Notice and the Company’s Proxy Statement were approved and adopted: 1. The re-election of Messrs. Tom Softeland, Rajath Shourie and Stelios Zavvos as Class A Directors of the Company to serve until the 2017 Annual Meeting of Shareholders; and 2. The appointment of Ernst & Young (Hellas) Certified Auditors-Accountants S.A., as the Company's independent auditors for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2014.
