Throughput of Ukrainian seaports up 5.2% to 129.48 mln t in Jan-Nov’14

In January-November 2014, seaports of Ukraine handled 129.48 mln t of cargo (+5.2%, year-on-year), says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 44,468,000 t (34.3% of the total volume). Private stevedores through all berths handled 85,190,000 t (65.7% of the total volume) including 44,203,000 t by private stevedoring companies through the berths of USPA (34.1% of the total volume).

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 93.521 mln t (+10.7%, year-on-year), import – 14.59 mln t (-10.6%), transit – 18.666 mln t (-7.6%), coastal trade cargo – 1.71 mln t (+30.9%).  Seaports’ container throughput declined by 13.9% to 613,186 TEUs.
