Global bunker trading company Integr8 Fuels has expanded operations to Hamburg, the company said in its press release.
It has hired four former staff from the Hamburg branch of defunct bunkering firm OW Bunker in the European move. Daniel Grünwald and Karl-Heinz Selmer have been hired as Senior Bunker Traders, while Simon Kelly and Jose Antonio Monroy Ramirez will both take on the role of Bunker Trader.
"We are proud to announce the addition of a new trading team in Hamburg," Tushar Gole, managing director of Integr8, told Bunkerworld. Gole noted the new additions as "the perfect fit" for Integr8. "Several good commercial people have been looking to secure employment since the collapse of OW," he said.
"We have interviewed a large number of people in recent weeks, and the challenge for us has been to identify those individuals that will fit with our company culture and conservative expansion plans in the right locations.
"Our efforts in Hamburg are a good example of this; the new Hamburg team brings with it a wealth of experience and appropriate relationships across a number of different sectors and geographies.
"The developments at Hamburg are part of Integr8's expansion plans due to the vacuum left by the OW Bunker collapse."
The new group is scheduled to start work at Integr8 effective early December 2014.
The firm earlier employed two new staff members for its Singapore office and a further two for its Dubai branch, all as Bunker Traders.
