Throughput of Astrakhan Port to grow 4.4 times to 2 mln t in 2016

Throughput of Astrakhan Port will be increased 4.4 times from current 450,000 t to 2 mln t in 2016, press center of the Astrakhan Region Government says.

Astrakhan Port OJSC handles containers and dry bulk cargo. Its major partner is Iran, 99% of the port’s cargoes are exported there. Retrofitting and upgrading of the port’s facilities are underway.
