Preliminary figures indicate 5% increase of Russian seaports’ throughput to 620 mln t this year, RF Transport Minister says

According to preliminary data, throughput of Russian seaports increased by 5% to 620 mln t in 2014, IAA PortNews journalist cites RF Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov as saying at the joint meeting of the Board and the Public Council of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot). 

Among the most significant achievements in the development of port infrastructure the Minister mentioned the progress in implementation of the project on construction of outer port Bronka in Saint-Petersburg, beginning of implementation of the project on comprehensive development of Murmansk Transportation Hub, construction of the cruise terminal in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, development of the railway infrastructure of Vostochny-Nakhodka transport hub, preparatory works for Taman port’s dry cargo district development.
