In January-November 2014, river ports of Russia handled 151.9 mln t of cargo (-12.3%, year-on-year), IAA PortNews journalist cites Maxim Sokolov, Transport Minister of the Russian Federation, as saying at the joint meeting of the Board and the Public Council of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot). The decrease should be attributed to less cargo transported by inland water ways of Russia due to low water level this year.
