Hapag-Lloyd informs about restructurings in the West Africa Service Network
Hapag-Lloyd will restructure and further enhance the dedicated West Africa Service Network, the company said in its press release.
Effective mid / end of January 2015, Hapag-Lloyd existing weekly West Africa Service (WAX 1) will be upgraded by deploying an additional vessel into the service as well as optimization of its port coverage. A call at Tangier will be added to the southbound leg, at Lagos company substitute Apapa with Tincan and on the northbound voyage, Lisbon will replace Algeciras.

Simultaneously company will introduce a second, complementary and weekly service – West Africa Service 2 (WAX 2). Consequently, company will be offering two sailings per week between North Europe and West Africa.
