Throughput capacity of Commercial Port of Vladivostok to be increased to over 600,000 TEUs in 2015

From the beginning of the year Commercial Port of Vladivostok OJSC handled over 500,000 TEU, which is an absolute record in terms of container handling in the ports of Russia’s Far East. According to the company’s press center, the milestone TEU was handled on December 22. 

In 2015, with the operational excellence & performance system, throughput capacity of Commercial Port of Vladivostok is to be increased to over 600,000 TEUs. 

Commercial Port of Vladivostok is number one container port in the Far East of Russia. In June 2014, the company set its own record of monthly throughput having handled 47,800 TEUs. In 2013, Commercial Port of Vladivostok handled 476,800 TEU and occupied over 30% of the entire container transshipment market in the Far East Basin of Russia. 

Commercial Port of Vladivostok OJSC (part of FESCO Transportation Group) is the largest stevedoring company at the port of Vladivostok. It provides services in handling general, bulk, ro-ro and containerized cargo. Commercial Port of Vladivostok has 15 berths with a total length of more than 3 km.
