90% of oil spill cleaned up in Tuapse, district authorities say

90% of oil products which entered the Tuapse river from the Tikhoretsk-Tuapse 2 pipeline have been collected, the cleanup activities continue, Vladimir Lybanev, head of the Tuapse district says according to the press center of Krasnodar Territory authorities.

On December 24, 2014 at 1.29 (Moscow time) an oil spill caused by leakage of Tikhoretsk-Tuapse-2 pipeline was registered near Grechensky settlement of the Tuapse district. As oil entered the Tuapse river, both internal and outer parts of the bay were contaminated.
