Two dead, four crews missing in two ships collision off Italy coast

According to Italian officials and local media, a collision of two merchant ships that occured in rough seas a mile from the Italian Adriatic port of Ravenna on Sunday, resulted in two crew members deaths and four men reported missing at sea.  A Turkish cargo ship with 11 crew members on board sank after the collision. The Turkish bulker Gokbel collided with a Belize flagged vessel Lady Aziza due to poor visibility, the Italian coast guard officials said.
    
The coastguard crews are trying to save four people they had located in the sea.
    
Five members of the Turkish ship have been rescued. No casualties were reported among the crew members of the M/V Lady Aziza.
       
Another major accident in the area occurred the RoPax ferry with hundreds of passengers on board when the ship cought fire off the Greek island of Corfu, in the south of the Adriatic. The ferry was bound for the Italian port of Ancona when the fire broke out in the lower deck garage of the vessel.
