Nuclear submarine Vladimir Monomakh arrives in Gadzhiyevo (photo)

On December 29, 2014, new generation Borei class ballistic missiles nuclear-powered submarine Vladimir Monomakh arrived in Gadzhiyevo, major Naval Base of the Northern Fleet, says press center plaof RF Ministry of Defence.  The submarine left Severodvinsk on December 26. The Vladimir Monomakh is the third serial Borey class ballistic missiles submarine of project 955. The ship was designed by the Rubin Marine Equipment Design Bureau. The keel was laid down on March 19 2006 at the Sevmash shipyard (part of the USC). The delivery/acceptance certificate was signed on December 10, 2014.
