ВТН-74, multifunction complex port service vessel of project 03180 build by Pella shipyard (Leningrad region) has come to the main naval base of the Baltic Fleet in Baltijsk, press center of the Ministry of Defence says.
By the Order of the Navy Commander-In-Chief, the vessel has joined the Navy of the Russian Federation. In the nearest future, upon completion of the required paperwork, she will join the auxiliary unit of the Baltic Fleet.
The vessel is intended for bunkerage of the vessels with different types of fuel; collection of oily content, sewage, bilge waters from vessels and floating objects; collection of dry garbage and food waste from vessels; buoys transportation and placement; beaconage floating devices maintenance; oil spill removal; transportation of cargoes. One of the innovative design solutions is the using of separated washing cargo tanks that allows to transfer different types of liquid cargos simultaneously and to make their change within a very short period of time if it is needed.
