Gazpromneft Marine Bunker boosts direct-to-vessel sales of fuel by 43% to 3.1 mln t in 20014
In 2014, Gazpromneft Marine Bunker (Gazprom Neft subsidiary) increased direct-to-vessel sales of bunker fuel by 43%, year-on-year, to 3.1 mln t, the Company’s press center says.
Total sales of bunker fuel increased by 25%, year-on-year, to 4 mln t.
In 2014, Gazpromneft Marine Bunker expanded its geographical footprint in the international markets having started bunkering in Latvia. In Russia, the Company started bunkering of vessels at the river ports of Novosibirsk and Tomsk. As of today, Gazpromneft Marine Bunker is represented in Tallinn, Riga, Constanta as well as in 19 seaports and 13 river ports of Russia.
The Company’s tanker fleet numbering eight own vessels meets the requirements of international conventions and is authorized for handling hazardous cargoes in seaports.
In 2015, the Company is set to pay special attention to modernization of terminal infrastructure for optimization of fuel delivery chain and further improvement of service quality, the Company CEO Andrey Vasiliev said.
Gazpromneft Marine Bunker LLC is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft founded in 2007 for round-the-year supply of bunker fuels and marine oils for sea and river transport. In 2013, the Company’s direct-to-vessel sales of bunker fuel totaled 2.2 mln t. The company holds leading position in Russia's bunker market with its share of 18.6%.
