Under the survey of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS), the company OOO Baltic Container (St. Petersburg) has launched the manufacture of a batch of offshore containers for oil sludge on request of SHLUMBERGER - a world's leading oilfield service company, RS says in its press release. Survey is performed in compliance with RS requirements and with due regard to the applicable international standards. Upon a customer's request, another IACS member classification society carries out real-time survey.
The work done by RS during the appraisal of the design documentation, approval of the manufacture facilities, tests as well as at the stage of serial products manufacture has confirmed the current state of RS requirements for offshore containers and their compliance with the underlying principles widely applied in the global practice.
