Port fleet vessels without ice class are allowed to operate within the water area of Rostov-on-Don port from February 24, IAA PortNews journalist refers to the Decree signed by Harbour Master Pavel Zakharchenko.
The restrictions on vessels’ ice class have been eased amid the improved ice situation and favourable weather forecast for the seaport of Rostov-on-Don.
Before entering the water area the vessels are to be surveyed according to the Decree No 1 dated February 7, 2013.
“Masters of port vessels should keep off ice floes and inform port Harbour Master and ship owners if drifting ice floes are detected,” the Decree says.
