Nufarm (Melbourne) will close its plant at Botlek in the port of Rotterdam and cut costs and raise capacity at the company’s facilities at Wyke, UK; and Gaillon, France, the company said in its press release.
The moves follow a detailed review of the company’s European manufacturing footprint. The measures will be implemented over 18 months and will reduce the company’s fixed cost base, improve working capital management, and support growth of the European business, Nufarm says. About 50 jobs will be lost at Botlek, Nufarm says.
