Ice-class workboats "Sergei Cherednichenko" and "Nord" arrive at Vladivostok (photo release)
Two utility work boats with ice class "Sergey Cherednichenko" and "Nord", built at Navashino, Russia based Okskaya Shipyard and delivered to Rosmorport in 2014, were succesffuly delivered on March 8 on board the M/V Fredensborg to the Port of Vladivostok, Rosmorport said.
The ice-class utility work boats feature increased speed and state-of-the-art navigation equipment allowing operating in all weather conditions, sailing in broken ice.
The UTBs "Sergei Cherednichenko" and "Nord"will be homeported in the Port of Vladivostok, and Port Vostochny, accordingly. The workboats will be used for delivery of representatives of state commissions and crew members; for survey and environmental monitoring of water areas of the two ports; for fast supply of pilots of Rosmorport's Far Eastern Basin branch, for pilot escort of vessels; other service and travel purposes.
