Water level in Lake Baikal falls to 455,95 meters
The water level in Lake Baikal has dropped to the mark of 455.95 meters (as of March 12, 2015), the Ministry of Natural Resources of Buryatia said.
Irkutsk hydrosystem discharges minimal quantities, by 1250 cbm.
Lake Baikal is situated in the south of Russia's Siberia, between the Irkutsk Oblast and the Buryat Republic to the southeast. It is the largest freshwater lake and the deepest and the clearest in the world.
