Throughput of Chinese ports up 5.1% to 1.79 bln t in Jan-Feb’15

In January-February 2015, the ports of China increased their throughput by 5.1%, year-on-year, to 1.79 bln t, says the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the People's Republic of China. In the accounting period seaports of China handled 1.26 bln t (+3.3%) bln t, river ports – 525.96 mln t (+9.9%).

Container throughput climbed by 10.5% to 32.35 mln TEUs including 29.07 mln TEUs in seaports (+9.9%) and 3.28 mln TEUs in river ports (+16.6%).
