In HI’15, the port of Rostov-on-Don handled 6,222,000 t of cargo (-11.7%, year-on-year), port Harbour Master Aleksandr Bogdanov told IAA PortNews.
Transshipment of crude and oil products fell by 4.9% to 2,130,000 t, non-grain bulk cargo – by 13.6% to 1,461,000 t, grain bulk cargo – by 23.2% to 936,000 t, scrap metal - 8.7% to 473,000 t, general cargo – by 29% to 291,000 t, liquid bulk food — by 11.5% to 232,000 t. Transshipment of coal and coke increased by 14.8% to 519,000 t.
In the reported period, loading declined by 0.4% to 3,832,000 t, unloading – by 18% to 516,000 t, transit – by 27% to 1,874,000 t.
In the reported period, turnover of vessels fell by 12%, year-on-year. The number incoming/outgoing vessels fell to 2183/2227 against 2486/2531 a year ago.
Bunkering at the port of Rostov-on-Don dropped by 44.5% to 24,800 t.
