Port facilities commissioned at the seaport of Kaliningrad

Several facilities were put into service at the port of Kaliningrad, Russia in accordance with the resolution of Rosmorrechflot dated June 24, 2015 (№39- RU39312000-SG-39 / 29-2015). These include operational water area of ​​the terminal complex for deep processing of oil-bearing crops, reconstructed stretch (PK 209-222) of Kaliningrad shipping channel, reconstructed automatic radio technical post ARTP-2 with radars chain and installed leading marks, the FSUE "Rosmorport" said.

Construction and rebuilding of the facilities were carried out by "Rosmorport" between September 2012 and May 2015 under the joint project with CJSC "Sodruzhestvo-Soya" of public-private partnership for the construction the phase 2 marine terminal complex for deep processing of oil-bearing crops.

The investment project worth nearly RUB 530 million was implemented in view of expected increase in shipments of oil-bearing crops via the seaport of Kaliningrad up to 3 million tonnes annually. The project contractor CJSC "Sodruzhestvo-Soya", which performed the construction work at the terminal complex invested more than 1 billion rubles.

As part of this joint investment project "Rosmorport" created the operational water area of ​the terminal complex comprising 264,200 sqm. with seabed depth of 10.5 meters. In order to provide safe access to the terminal's berths Rosmorport also reconstructed the KSC including dredging on the channel to 10.5 meters in depth and 80 meters in width, thus enabling access of such ships as CH-40 Ning An10 with the following dimensions: LOA - 185 m, beam - 32.2 m, DWT – 39,000 tonnes and a loaded draft of 9.6 meters.
