MARAD announces public scoping meetings for proposed Delfin LNG deepwater port export facility

On July 29, the Maritime Administration (MARAD) published a Federal Register Notice of Intent (NOI) advising the public that the agency, in coordination with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), will host public scoping meetings regarding the Delfin LNG, LLC deepwater port export license application, MARAD said in a press release.

The scoping process will assist in identifying and determining the range of environmental issues that the Federal government should consider as it prepares the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the application.

The public is invited to participate in the scoping process by attending the public meetings or by submitting written comments to the Federal docket.

The first public scoping meeting will take place on August 18, 2015, at the Lake Charles Civic Center, 900 Lakeshore Drive, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70601, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The second public scoping meeting will take place on August 19, 2015, at the Holiday Inn Beaumont Plaza, 3950 Walden Road, Beaumont, Texas 77705 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
