MSC implements bunker surcharge for Canary south/northbound trade

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) will extend its current Bunker Contribution (BUC) to be applied to all cargo for the Canary South and North Bound Trade as of September 2015, the Company said on Monday.

The BUC level will be: EUR 185 per TEU and £150 per TEU.

Geneva-headquartered Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC) was founded in 1970. Now it is the world's second shipping line in terms of container vessel capacity. MSC's fleet, which operates in all major ports of the world, comprises 471 vessels and has a capacity of 2,435,000 TEUs (as of end-December 2014).
