Passenger port of Saint Petersburg welcomed 59 cruise ships and 4 ferries in July 2015 (photo)

Between 1st and 31st of July 2015 Passenger port of Saint Petersburg has received 59cruise and 4 ferry calls that brought 142 068 passengers, the Port’s press center says. The total berth time of all the ships is 114 ship-days, total amount of passenger operations – 487 363. 

Services provided to ships: Fresh water bunkering – 12 841 m3; Waste water reception  – 8 815 m3; Garbage collection – 1 560 m3

In the indicated period 39 helicopters have used the helipad of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.

On July 4th, the Caribbean Princess cruise ship has visited Passenger port of Saint Petersburg for the first time. To mark the maiden call a plaque exchange ceremony was held aboard the ship.

On July 7th the case against “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC on violation of the competition law was closed.

On July 21, at the peak of 2015 cruise season Passenger port of Saint Petersburg has welcomed representatives of city and federal TV channels. Representatives of St. Petersburg and TVC channels had a chance to capture the sight of six ships berthed at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg, that have brought 14 000 passengers to the city.

Also this month the management of “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC has held a range of meetings with the Chairman of the China Society of St. Petersburg Mr. Chen Zhigang, participated in meetings with managers of Shenyang companies operating in different spheres of business and with representatives of ExpoForum International LLC.

During the month Passenger port of Saint Petersburg has twice – on the 1st and the 18th of July – had full berth occupancy, or 7 ships at once. Moreover, on July 18th the Port has received 14 996 passengers which is a record amount in the current cruise season and in the entire history of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.

In total since the beginning of the cruise season on May 2, 2015, Passenger port of Saint Petersburg has received over 320 000 passengers.

Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 330 m long and with a draft of up to 8.8 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay-side length – 2,171.06 m.
