Passenger port of Saint Petersburg welcomes heads of Tourism Ministries of Russia’s constituent entities

On October 8th, during the All-Russian seminar on the development of water, yacht and cruise tourism, members of the Russian Federation Ministry of Culture Tourism Coordination Council - heads of Tourism Ministries of Russian Federation constituent entities visited Passenger port of Saint Petersburg. The meeting was opened by Sergey Korneev, representative of the Coordination Council, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Tourism, who noted the special role of “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC in developing the cruise tourism in Russia.

During the visit representatives of “Passenger port of Saint Petersburg “Marine façade” PLC briefed the guests about the modern infrastructure of the Port, it’s capacities for receiving and servicing cruise and ferry ships and tourists that arrive to St. Petersburg. Also, representatives of “Passenger port of Saint Petersburg “Marine façade” PLC outlined the plans of the company on the development of territories and infrastructure. At the end the guests could obtain answers to their questions. 

Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 330 m long and with a draft of up to 8.8 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay-side length – 2,171.06 m.
