Over the navigation period of 2015 in Yakutia, Lena United River Shipping Company (LORP OJSC) carried 1,235,000 t of cargo (+ 20,000 t, year-on-year) including 440,000 t of oil products and 795,000 t of dry cargo, says the press center of Yakutia’s Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities.
LORP OJSC has completed transportation of liquid bulk cargo. All contracted cargoes have been delivered to Arctic rivers’ points – 307,000 t: 162,000 t of dry cargo, 130,000 t of coal, 145,000 t of oil products including 28,000 t delivered via the Northern Sea Route.
435,000 t of cargo was shipped from port Osetrovo (+25,000 t, year-on-year). 113,000 t of tubular goods and 33,000 t of reinforced concrete plates were transported for the Power of Siberia.
The last vessel with tubular goods for the Power of Siberia left Osetrovo for Peleduya on October 15. It is the Company’s last dry cargo shipment in 2015.
Lena United River Shipping Company is the only transport company operating in the Arctic area of the republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It transports freight and passengers along inland water ways and the sea routes. The Company’s fleet numbers over 350 ships with the total capacity of 450,000 t. The Republic of Sakha holds the control state of the shipping company.
