Port of Antwerp has a new representative for the North American market
The North American market is by far the first overseas trading partner of the Port of Antwerp. With large projects as TTIP and CETA coming up, the continuing containerization and the opening of the Panama Canal in 2016, the port strongly believes that the US and Canadian markets offer many opportunities for the future and require an even more focused approach. Therefore, the Port of Antwerp has assigned a new representative for the North American market. As from the 1st of January 2016, Filip Vandenbussche will take up this role.
Filip Vandenbussche is a Belgian, living in Houston for almost 20 years. During his career, he fulfilled the position of Investment prospector for Flanders in the US but also logistics and value added services have, directly and indirectly, been part of his former activities & responsibilities .
His direct involvement with the logistics industry has been in the field of on-site and off-site services, packaging and warehousing for the petrochemical Industry at Katoen Natie.
He will be responsable for both the US and Canadian market, with focus on the Houston area, the East coast regions and the province of Québec in Canada. In his role, he will mainly focus on building a strong network with new and existing personal relations to keep the Port of Antwerp top-of-mind.
