Delegation of the Murmansk regional Government headed by the first vice-governor Alexey Tyukavin took part in the Arctic Frontiers Conference held in Tromsø on January 24-29, says press center of the regional government. The conference explored the theme of industry and environment and gathered representatives from academia, government and business, including Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Børge Brende, Finnish Minister of Foreign Affairs Timo Soini and other high-ranking politicians. On January 27 first vice-governor Alexey Tyukavin took part in the seminar and panel discussion “Talking Barents” where he presented a report called “Murmansk region as a participant of the Barents cooperation” and discussed how Russia’s top priorities as a Chair in the Barents Euro-Arctic Council being implemented in the Murmansk region.
