Brodosplit delivers portal-rotating port cranes for Turkey

Split shipbuilders processed 330 tons of steel and executed constructions of portal’s legs and bridges, main and supporting pillars, painting, stairs and pre-assembly of segments for two portal-rotating port cranes with max. lifting capacity of 63 tons and max. reaching capacity of 55 m, the company said in its press release.

This is a continuation of co-operation between Brodosplit and German buyer Kocks Ardelt Kranbau GMBH – global leader in the production of portal and portal-rotating port cranes intended for vertical transport in ports and shipyards. Brodosplit has delivered seven different portal-rotating port cranes to the same buyer since 2013.

TUKAN 3000 cranes are special high-performance cranes for handling of bulk cargo with all kinds of grabs which enable serving of ships up to class Capesize (47 m width), as well as special Japanmax ships (50 m width), but they can also be used for other types of cargo with hooks and special equipment, such as clamps, and for lifting of containers with container clamps.
