Samara, Russia based shipbuilding and ship repair plant Nefteflot has launched the lead oil tanker of Project RST11 named Svyatoy Knyaz' Vladimir (after Saint Prince Vladimir, the Baptizer of Kievan Rus), says the Project designer Marine Engineering Bureau.
The tanker of mixed sea/river navigation was ordered by Volgotrans LLC.
The ship of Volga-Don Max class has the class notation M-SP 3.5 Russian River Register (RRR).
The vessel of Project RST11 is intended for river-sea and sea transportation of crude oil and oil products, including benzine, without flash point restrictions.
The essel satisfies the dimensions of the Volga-Don canal and Volga-Baltic Way. Overall vessel length is of 131.64 m, breadth is of 16.5 m, depth is of 5.5 m.
Total capacity of eight cargo tanks and two slop ones is of 7,042 cub. m, deadweight is about 6,586 tons when sea draught is of 4.477 m and about 4,677 tons when river draught is of 3.60 m. Cruising speed is of 10.0 knots.
Two medium-speed diesels (main engine) of 736 kWt each use diesel fuel MDO.
The crew consists of 15 persons (16 places).
