Rotterdam Port to hold logistics seminar at Busan Port

Marking 55 years of diplomatic ties with Netherlands, Rotterdam Port Authority will hold a logistics seminar in the Emerald Room in Busan Lotte Hotel on Sep. 26th.

The theme of the seminar is “Netherlands, Gateway to the European Market.” Infrastructure of Rotterdam Port, logistics trend in the Netherlands, automated terminals, and the investment environment in the Netherlands will be introduced at the seminar.

Experts from shipping companies calling at Rotterdam Port, terminal operators, forwarders, Dutch shipping corporations, and scholars will participate in the seminar.

Rotterdam Port and Busan Port have kept close ties since they established sisterhood relations in 1985. Furthermore, BPA and Rotterdam Port Authority inked an MOU in 2005.

In this regard, the seminar was decided to be held at Busan Port thanks to the amicable relations between the two parties.

Busan Port Authority President WOO Ye-jong stated “Korea and the Netherlands will celebrate 55 years of diplomatic ties this year and the summit talk is scheduled to be held on September 27th. Hence, I expect to see a deepened relationship between the two nations.” He added “Busan Port will continue its effort toward mutual development with Rotterdam Port.”
