More than 22 million Roubles were invested in the development of the port infrastructure of the “Multi-Purpose Reloading Complex” (MRC, a part of UCL Holding) within the period of January-September 2016, the company says in a press release. Main part of these funds was spent for purchase of new machinery and equipment to increase the terminal’s capacity and loading rate.
Within the mentioned period MRC has completed the commissioning process for 225 meters long conveyor line, which is meant to transport bulk cargoes from the storage yard of the terminal to the berths. Also, MRC has acquired two units of two-leaf grab buckets GH 16-9,5 with the capacity of 9.5 cubic meters each, which are used both for loading the vessels and for unloading the railcars. Moreover, several specialized attachments were purchased for the cranes.
Besides, the terminal has finished the construction of new amenity spaces for the workers, has completed the assembly of new fire prevention system and has updated the automatic system for commercial accounting of power consumption. MRC has also been conducting the engineering and geodetic studies to design new railway loading ramp and to renovate the existing berth infrastructure
LLC “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” (included in UCL Port- stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding) is a cargo terminal in the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region, specializing in reception, storage and shipment of export and import general and bulk cargoes. Main cargo reloaded by the company is export power generating coal. In 2015 the turnover of LLC “MRC” amounted to 4.2 mln tons of cargo.
