In January-November 2016, the Port of Tallinn (Estonia) handled 18.6 mln t of cargo (-10.6%, year-on-year). According to the Port Authorities, transshipment of containers dropped by 3.8% to 184,000 TEUs.
Port of Tallinn ranks fourth largest seaport, next to St. Petersburg, Primorsk and Ust-Luga, on the Baltic Sea. The Port comprises five so-called port zones: Muuga, Old City Harbor, Paljassaare, Paldiski South and Saaremaa. In 2015 throughput at Tallinn port totaled 22.44 million tonnes.
