Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports in Jan-March'17 climbed by 2.5% Y-o-Y to 32.71 mlnt

In January-March 2017, seaports of Ukraine handled 32.71 mln t of cargo, up 2.5%, year-on-year, press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 25.938 mln t (+5%), imports – 4.373 mln t (-0.6%), transit – 2.221 mln t (-18.3%), inland traffic – 180,000 t (+ 81.2% ).

Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine totaled 7.4% to 150,615 TEUs.

State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 7.208 mln t (22% of total volume). Other port operators (mostly private operators) handled 25.504 mln t (78% of total volume) including 13.544 mln t handled via USPA berths (41% of total volume).
