Throughput of port Taganrog up 4.2% to 587,000 t in QI’2017

In January-March 2017, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 587,000 t of cargo (+4.2%, year-on-year), the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog told IAA PortNews.

In the reporting period transshipment of oil products climbed by 23.4% to 145,000 t, ferrous metal – up 5.2 times to 53,300 t. Transshipment of oil products fell by 8.7% to 177,600 t, grain – by 20.7% to 166,700 t.

Exports grew by 5.7% to 381,500 t, imports – 3.4 times to 24,700 t. Short-sea traffic dropped by 7.4% to 180,800 t. 

In the 3-month period, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 167 arrivals and 158 departures against 158 arrivals and 143 departures in January-March 2016.
