Under the instructions given by Russian Deputy Prime Minister in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev and the Russian Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot), FSUE “Rosmorport” carries out a number of arrangements in order to prepare the Seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy for receiving cruise vessels in the navigation of 2017.
Rosmorport says, at present, design documentation on maintenance engineering support for cruise vessels mooring to Berths Nos. 4, 5, 8-r in the Seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy is being developed. In May it is planned to start installing kevels and fenders on the specified facilities.
These measures will make it possible to provide berthing of cruise vessels with the length of up to 250 meters that earlier could lie out only in the Avachinsky Bay. The works are expected to be completed by May 31.
