    RAO/CIS Offshore to be held on 12 - 15 September 2017 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia

    12 - 15 September 2017, RAO/CIS Offshore, 13th International Conference and Exhibition for Oil and Gas Resources Development of the Russian Arctic and CIS Continental Shelf, will be held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

    RAO/CIS Offshore is the event with a twenty-year history, which leading Russian scientists and the world's largest oil and gas companies. RAO/CIS Offshore obtains strong position among the world offshore oil and gas exhibitions and conferences. RAO/CIS Offshore is held on a biennial basis and brings together government officials, experts from Russian and foreign companies for discussion of the most important aspects of the Arctic and continental shelf offshore development.

    RAO/CIS Offshore 2017 Conference will start its work with a Plenary session «Realisation of shelf projects is a driving force of industrial and economic development».

    The Organizing committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, and the Program committee chaired by the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Kirill Molodtsov and the Chairman of Research Council of Russian Academy of Sciences for Geology and Oil and Gas Resources Development Alexey Kontorovich, have approved 7 sessions topics currently:

    •    Development of the oil and gas resource base of the Arctic and continental shelf
    •    Infrastructure development of oil and gas fields in the Arctic and on the continental shelf of Russia
    •    Engineering and technology for offshore oil and gas development
    •    Construction of the modern fleet for development of schemes for oil and gas transportation by sea
    •    Energy infrastructure for oil and gas fields development in the Russian Arctic zone
    •    Safe and efficient development of oil and gas resources of the Arctic and on the continental shelf

    For the first time the Forum will host a Special Session «The role of international projects in the geological study and evaluation of the resources of the Arctic, Far Eastern and inland seas of Eurasia», organized with the help of A.P. Karpinsky Russian Geological Research Institute. The session will discuss the issues of development of geological maps of the Circumpolar Arctic region, the Northern, Central and Eastern Asia and the Caspian region.

    In 2017 RAO/CIS Offshore prepares ambitious exposition and extensive business program. The main directions of the exhibition are geology, technique and technologies of oil and gas resources development in arctic conditions and on continental shelf, shipbuilding and marine constructions, subsea equipment and pipelines, industrial and environmental safety, environmental protection; safety equipment and training, information technologies
