In January-May 2017, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 6.368 mln t of cargo (+13%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of Rostov-on-Don port Andrei Iovlev told IAA PortNews.
Transshipment of crude and oil products grew by 6.8% to 2.030 t, grain – by 30.8% to 1.751 mln t, bulk non-grain cargo – by 0.6% to 922,000 t, coal and coke – by 75.2% to 908,000 t, liquid food – by 13.2% to 238,000 t. Transshipment of metal scrap fell 2.2 times to 227,000 t, general cargo – by 2.7% to 202,000 t.
In the reporting period, loading at the port grew by 9% - до 4.705 mln t, transit – by 39.6% to 1.395 mln t while unloading dropped by 15.8% to 267,000 t.
The number of arrivals/departures increased to 1,942 / 1,982 versus 1,730 / 1,787 a year ago.
Bunkering at the port of Rostov-on-Don decreased by 32% to 30,600 t.
