Murmansk Commercial Seaport takes delivery of construction equipment from Sabetta (photo)
Murmansk Commercial seaport takes delivery of construction equipment which was earlier used in Sabetta under Yamal LNG project. According to the port’s press center, the equipment will be used when building NOVATEK’s Kola Yard, a center for the construction of large-scale offshore structures in Belokamenka (Murmansk Region).
The first excavators and bulldozers were delivered to Murmansk by dry cargo carrier Aleksandr Suvorov.
“Specialists of Murmansk Commercial seaport have conducted a sophisticated technological operation to unload heavy equipment within the shortest time. The Aleksandr Suvorov loaded with crushed stone will leave for Yamal today”, says the statement.
Murmansk Commercial Seaport (MMTP JSC) was founded in 1994. MMTP operates 17 berths with total length of about 3 km. The waters depths allow the port accommodate vessels with draft of up to 15.5 m and length of over 265 m.
The bulk of the company’s throughput is coal - 93.3% of total throughput(13.6 mln t).
