Changes to Russia’s seaports law effective as of November 1, 2017
The Federal Law dated July 18, 2017 (No. 177-FZ) "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On Seaports of the Russian Federation and on Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation" has come into force, the Kremlin website said.
The ports law regulates issues related to the layout of seaports boundaries, their commissioning and closing, collection of investment fees, etc.
The law determines that the investment fee is payable to the seaports authorities, to an economic entity that provides related services in the port. The procedure for determining and collecting the fee is approved by the Russian government.
