Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg handled 476,500 TEUs in 9M’17, up 14.1% Y-o-Y
Container volumes at JSC “Container terminal Saint-Petersburg” (CTSP, member of UCL Holding) in January-September 2017 amounted to 476,500 TEU (14.1% more than in Q1 2016), the stevedore says in a press release.
Import traffic amounted to 214,300 TEUs (+12.1%) including 50,800 TEUs of refrigerated cargoes. Export flow grew by 15.8% to 262,200 TEUs.
In the reporting period, the share of loaded export containers in total turnover of the terminal totaled 41.4% (+13.5%) with the share of empty export containers making 13.6% (+23.6%).
In the first nine months of 2017 the terminal handled 424 calls with the average call size 1,100 TEUs. The volume of cargo removed by rail amounted to 26.2%.
Container terminal Saint-Petersburg (member of UCL Port, stevedoring division of the international transportation group UCL Holding) is a modern container handling facility in the 4th cargo handling area of the Big port of Saint-Petersburg. In 2016 the terminal handled 557,800 TEU.
