Frigate Admiral Makarov fires missiles in the Baltic Sea during trials
During the final phase of state trials, the newest frigate Admiral Makarov project 1135.6 carried out anti-aircraft missile firing in the Baltic Fleet sea ranges, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The firing was conducted from the Shtil ship-based multi-channel anti-aircraft vertical-launch missile system against targets imitating cruise missiles of the enemy.
The targets were launched by small missile ships (SMS) Geyser and Liven of the Baltic Fleet naval base.
Sailing on the battle course, the SMSs alternately launched missile-targets imitating anti-ship cruise missiles of the simulated enemy.
Ten surface ships and vessels of the Baltic Fleet ensured safety during the execution of combat drills.
