NIBULON shipyard put into operation its new assembly and fabrication workshop
On November 14, 2017, NIBULON put into operation its new workshop at the shipbuilding and repair yard, which was built as part of the large-scale reconstruction of the facility and with the support of the European Investment Bank.
From now on, the weather conditions will not affect the work of NIBULON’s shipbuilders, as sections of new vessels will not be assembled in the open air, but in the new comfortable workshop, says the company.
The assembly and fabrication workshop is equipped with four radio controlled overhead cranes with the capacity of 10 tons each and modern welding equipment. Due to its capacities, the new workshop will produce about 4,000 tons of metalware per year.
It should be noted that in May 2017, the company completed the first state of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard modernization; an automated line for metal cleaning and priming and a metal processing workshop with plasma cutting and gas cutting machines were put into operation as port of the first stage of modernization. Thus, NIBULON is a leader in the region in terms of equipment at its shipbuilding facilities.
