RN Bunker supplies fuel to Rosmorport's STS Mir

RN Bunker, a subsidiary of Rosneft, successfully performed bunkering of the STS Mir (owner FSUE Rosmorport) at the Passenger Port St. Petersburg. A solemn ceremony marking her 30th anniversary was held on board of the legendary sail training ship, the bunkering company said.

The bunker vessel "RN Magellan" under contract with FSUE Rosmorport supplied the STS Mir with 140 tonnes of distillate marine fuel produced by Ryazan Oil Refining Company. The bunkering operation was completed in compliance with all the rules of marine and environmental safety.

The STS Mir is equipped with DMF-I fueled engines. The environmental fuel supplied by RN-Bunker LLC will allow the vessel to fulfill the tasks of the next voyage for training of 132 new cadets from the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping. During the voyage the ship will cover thousands of nautical miles, will be learning the art of sailing and modern maritime skills.
