RF Navy’s missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov trained interaction with air force in Barents Sea, Northern Fleet

The missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov practised combat tasks in cooperation with aircraft of the air force and air defence army at naval training zone in the Barents Sea.

At the first stage, the radio-technical equipment was operated to test its detection and tracking capabilities. The Il-38 ASW aircraft was simulating a target.

Afterwards, the seamen practiced interaction with the Ka-27 helicopters to search for submarines of a mock enemy as well as to provide landing of the helicopters on the deck.
