Onezhsky shipyard launches ice-class buoy tender of Project 02780М (photo)
Onezhsky Shipbuilding, Ship Repair Yard (Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia) says it has launched an ice-class buoy tender of Project 02780М. The ship named Fortuna has been launched today, 4 May 2018.
The Fortuna, an ice-class buoy tender, is intended for installation and maintenance of aids to navigation as well as for transportation of general cargo.
Home port – Kaliningrad.
Onezhsky Shipbuilding, Ship Repair Yard (Onega Shipyard) was founded in 2002 on the basis of shiprepair facilities of the Belomorsky-Onezhsky Shipping Company, formed in 1944. In 2011, after the enterprise management dismissal the production stopped, and the company went bankrupt. In late 2014 the enterprise was transferred to the state ownership and resumed its shipbuilding / repair activity.
